Karl the hacker - [Hiatus]

After a while, I had begun to hallucinate through lack of sleep, so in the end I had no idea what I had done, but after three straight days and nights working on it I had cracked it.

I always was a hacker, and any tied down system I saw as a challenge. My iPhone was jailbroken when I was a kid, my cable tv system now had free feeds from all over the world. Why should Poké balls be any different? Anyway, by the time I woke up almost 24 hours later I realized that a) I had missed 2 whole days at work, and that b) I had done something odd to my 3 Poké balls. They looked well, strange, and had a sort of malevolent glow about them. I remembered trying to unscramble the security restrictions on them but everything else was a blur. I quickly re-assembled them, packed them in my rucksack and headed in to work on the crammed commuter train to find out if I still had a job.

I hated my job. I'm Karl, the IT guy for the emergency dispatches in the Kanto. Nothing but grief from the chicks who took the calls about out of control pokemon and charmanders accidentally setting fire to people's asses. "The system is shit. Its too slow" etc. Hell, I agree. I didnt design it. I just fix the crap and keep it running. And the only folk who the public ever see are the superstars. Officer Jenny! upholder of law and order, and Nurse Joy! the curer of all ills. I know what I'd like her to kiss better anyway.

"You're late!" screamed Xi-Nai, a tall sleek young girl. It was hard to accept being lambasted by someone so gorgeous. "My office now!”

"I'm sorry. I slept in." I said, flustered, as I stumbled in after her, staring at her ass in her short leather skirt and those legs which seemed to go on forever.

"That might have been ok two days ago! Where the fuck have you been? Look at you! Are you on ****?"

“No, I-“

"Save it. Your ass is toast. Get the hell out of here. You're sacked!”

"Aw come on..." I pleaded.

She was raging. "clear your desk out. You're out of here.”

I could see she wasn't going to be placated. She meant it. Fuck. I jammed my hands into my jacket pocket getting ready to leave, and felt that familiar spherical object. I'm not sure what came over me, but I pulled it out and with a delicate throw, trying to hit a target only the other side of a desk from me, I bounced it off her head.

Xi-Nai staggered back a step, more in surprise than due to the **** of the blow.

The Poké ball bounced upwards almost to the ceiling then just hung there while beams of light began to emanate from it.

"What are you..."? began Xi-Nai, but stopped as she too began to emanate light and glow all over then suddenly she was gone, her essence sucked inside the Poké ball which now fell from the air, bounced once on her desk and landed on the carpeted floor. I quickly reached over and picked it up and replaced it in my pocket. All that was left of Xi-Nai was her pile of clothes that she had been sucked out of. I quickly gathered them up and stuffed them all into my rucksack, resisting the temptation to examine her panties too closely before exiting her room.

"Anyone seen Xi-Nai?" asked one of the dispatchers later as I desperately tried to work my way through the calls that had built up and get to the end of the day.

"Yeah, uh, she had to leave. Family emergency. Said she might be a couple of days,” I lied.
